Samantha Lanna

Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, Samantha’s interest for international travel began at a young age, sparkled by the countless trips to the airport to welcome her aunts and uncle back home when they would visit from the land that once seemed so far away; the United States. Her uncle’s motto “Roots in Brazil, branches around the world” planted the seed that would later become her own reality.

Samantha’s first experience within the travel industry was at the airport itself, as a ticketing agent. Next, on a whim, she decided to move to Uruguay (a country she had never visited before), and again found herself exposed to the travel industry, this time, providing software support to major airlines around the world. After moving to California, she continued developing her customer care skills at her family’s business, gathering over 9 years of experience focusing on delivering personalized service.

A foodie turned culinary student, Samantha’s love for gastronomic experiences fuels her incessant quest in finding the next hip eatery, or the best under the radar restaurant. Samantha is a native Portuguese speaker and learned Spanish by listening to her coworkers. As a visual arts enthusiast, she taught herself to shoot analog pictures with an old Canon. In her free time, she likes to rollerblade in the streets of the California desert and practice Pilates.
