Every traveler has different dreams when they come to India. For some, it's standing before the Taj Mahal at sundown. For others, it's experiencing a boat ride on the River Ganga at sunrise. And for one Micato guest, his dream—a lifelong one—was to meet an accomplished sitar player in Varanasi, a vibrant city on the banks of the beloved aforementioned Ganga.

In India, there is a saying: Atithi Devo Bhavah. It translates to "A Guest is like God." And so, upon hearing that this guest was keen on meeting a sitar player, their guide pulled every possible string—pun intended—to make this encounter happen.

He called everyone he knew in the city and was able to arrange—on a day's notice—a private concert for the guest with an acclaimed Indian sitar player. The guest and his family heard the sitar player perform live just for them, visited his home, and even watched the musician's 15-year-old son perform with him. The night ended with many words of gratitude and many tears of joy for a dream that, thanks to good relationships on the ground, our friends at Micato made come true.
