Dear Friends and Clients,

Happy 2024!

Wishing each of you a healthy and happy new year.

I began this new year surrounded by water - as guests aboard the new Explora Journeys ship. I am a self-proclaimed ‘cruise novice,’ and I went into this week with my eyes wide open and curious about this new experience. As Jay and I ’sailed away’ from Miami, I was struck by the feeling I had of being ‘free.’ We spent the next two days “at sea.” On paper, I have to admit I was a bit hesitant about what we would do, whether we would be bored, whether we would be totally disconnected, etc. OMG - we loved our days at sea so much and were not ready for them to end.

Our days started by taking advantage of the incredible fitness programming on board, followed by a walk around the ’track’ for another hour before settling into breakfast at a table on the stern looking out at the wide open ocean. The rest of the day flew by - we read, we swam, we took naps, and we were pampered. BTW: we had amazing wifi (Each suite aboard the ship has its own router - connectivity was perfect). 

As we eyed Colombia in the distance, we were equally as excited to begin exploring a new destination.

During our escape at sea, we took advantage of this time to make our wish lists for 2024… filled with lots of family time, celebrations with friends, and, of course, a handful of new experiences to keep us learning, expanding, and growing.
