How We Work
Huffman Travel is a boutique luxury travel consultancy made up of a small group of award-winning travel advisors. We work closely with our clients to design custom experiences all over the world. An active member of Virtuoso, we belong to the 1% of luxury travel companies worldwide, leverage exclusive amenities at the best properties, and access to vetted operators around the globe.
Our fee structure consists of an upfront Design Fee that covers our time to get to know you, research, and design your trip to include hotel accommodations, privately guided tours, and suggested activities. Because we only work with a select number of clients, we pride ourselves on being very hands-on and consistent in our approach to developing itineraries that are truly tailor-made. With The Huffman Difference, we collaborate with clients during every stage of the planning process and work behind the scenes with close industry partners up until the date of your return. Trip planning fees start at $700+ per week and are based on the specificities of each trip.
In addition to planning experiences and trips of a lifetime, we are also happy to handle your more transaction-based travel plans. There is no fee if you simply ask us to reserve a specific hotel for you. Through our relationships with most high-end properties, we are happy to extend extra amenities while you pay the same rate you would online. Our preferred partnerships include Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Peninsula Hotels, The Oetker Collection, Aman, Rosewood, Rocco Forte, Belmond, The Dorchester Collection, Relais & Chateaux, Hyatt Privé, Jumeirah, Marriott luxury brands, and more.
We also work with clients to manage long-term travel planning and goals through our Wanderlist program. Wanderlist clients collaborate with one of our travel advisors to maximize their most precious, non-renewable asset: time. Clients explore long-term dreams with our advisors, who then create a multi-year travel calendar for what we call a “return on life.” This evolutive service starts at $1,500 for a family of 4. As it relates to flight arrangements, many of our clients prefer to book their air tickets themselves. We can also book air for you - with an air ticketing charge starting at $100 per ticket/transaction. At this time, we are not able to manage points/miles on your behalf.
