3 Ways to Feel Good About Traveling Again

by Geoffrey Ravoire, Marketing Manager & Luxury Travel Advisor

Now more than ever, travel should be tailored to your needs and wants.

Throughout this crisis, one of the requests we have been increasingly receiving is for private properties to host your family reunions and groups of friends, in a controlled environment, as soon as states reopen. We want to share here some of the ways we have helped people plan again and support US businesses.

Where will you go next?

SERVICED VILLAS
Kids are almost done with online classes and you are working remotely, so, why not move your family to a safe, new destination where you can still limit social interactions while enjoying the great outdoors again? We love the idea of isolating yourself in Hilton Head or Kiawah Island to enjoy golfing and nature discoveries. Or why not head north, towards Nantucket or Rhode Island? We’ve helped clients find gorgeous ocean-side homes where they can safely enjoy precious time with their loved ones: a tranquil way to ease back into travel. Other favorite destinations have been the Smoky Mountains for unlimited hikes, or Miami, where swanky homes with private docks allow you to explore the bay by boat.

SMALL BUYOUTS
What could be better than being surrounded by friends and family with endless onsite activities to enjoy together, without sharing your experience with strangers? Small hotels and estates like Lake Kora in Upstate New York or Caldera House in Jackson Hole are the ideal size and setting to gather everybody. There are countless more hidden gems we have come to love over the years as we know every group has different aspirations. We can even help you build your own summer camp!

Another avenue we have explored with our clients is yacht chartering. Being on a yacht doesn’t only give you a feeling of freedom, but also actual freedom: the freedom of changing the view from your window, the bay you anchor at, or, in other words, the freedom of finding the most remote and gorgeous spot to be in the moment.

SPAS & RETREATS
Has the quarantine left you exhausted? Fabulous domestic retreats are cautiously reopening to help you treat yourself and are the perfect way to return to reality. Not only will you feel rejuvenated but also armed with the knowledge needed to continue on a course of more healthful living. At Shou Sugi Ban House (the Hamptons), guests are immersed in healing arts, holistic living, nutrition, fitness, meditation, hydrotherapy, advanced skin and body care, and the restorative powers of nature. Another favorite, Cal-A-Vie with its lavender fields, antique chandeliers, and rolling hills almost feels like Provence!
