More than ever, our Huffman Travel Advisors are here to assist you in coordinating a magnificent and memorable trip.

WINTER

Kangaroo Island, Australia

Australia's third-largest island is known for its fantastic beaches, authentic food-and-drink experiences, wild and untamed landscapes, and abundant wildlife. If watersports are more your thing, there is an abundance of swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and surfing locations. December to February are our favorite month to visit.

Dominica

Dominica, formed from volcanic activity, is a small island in the eastern Caribbean Sea known for its beautiful landscape of mountains, rainforests, waterfalls, beaches, and picturesque coastal formations. For our divers and snorkelers, we recommend a visit to Champagne Reef: Beneath the ocean floor are volcanic thermal springs that release tiny champagne-like bubbles into the sea. You can snorkel and scuba dive here, and the closer you get to the streams of bubbles, the warmer the water gets!

Andrefana Dry Forests, Madagascar

The Andrefana Dry Forests, one of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites, boast a tropical climate, particularly enjoyable during our winter. The dry forests boast endemic flora and fauna, including the critically endangered Verreaux's sifaka lemur. Visitors can enjoy the rich ecosystems in the country's western region, not to mention the riches of an island little-known to foreign travelers.

Zermatt, Switzerland

Zermatt, a charming alpine village in the heart of the Swiss Alps, attracts skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts from all corners of the globe and provides an unforgettable experience to those who visit. This picturesque mountain town offers a unique blend of natural beauty, extraordinary cuisine, and luxurious accommodations. With Mt. Matterhorn as the town's central focus, Zermatt features over 220 miles of gorgeous, firm snow for skiing; it is truly a skier's paradise. Of course, Zermatt could easily find its spot on our Summer list as well!

SPRING

Vermejo, New Mexico

With snowcapped alpine tundra, 19 fishable lakes, and over 550,000 stunning acres of picturesque land, Vermejo is the jewel of northern New Mexico. Its diverse landscape is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including elk, bison, black bears, and mountain lions. Whether riding horseback through open fields, exploring turn-of-the-century charcoal kilns, or fly fishing for Rio Grande cutthroat trout, Vermejo has something for everyone.

Hong Kong

Hong Kong is finally back after years of almost complete closure. Hong Kong is the kind of city you can visit any time of the year and always create lasting memories. Beyond its spectacular skyline are incredible art galleries, outdoor spaces, and seemingly unlimited dining options, from street-side noodles to multicourse tasting menus. Outside its urban core, connect with nature at the gorgeous villages, beaches, and hiking trails.

Bhutan

Bhutan is known as Asia's happiest country. Discover this remote Himalayan kingdom filled with hilltop monasteries, massive fortresses, and ancient temples. Hike to the spectacular Tiger's Nest Monastery or learn about Bhutan's unique history with historical sites like the Dechen Phodrang Monastery and Paro Rinpung Dzong - a massive walled monastery and fortress towers over the town and is visible throughout the Paro Valley.

Barossa Valley, Australia

The Barossa Valley community keeps a watchful eye on the moon, the harvest, and the long-term forecast. Each season is magical, but we recommend visiting in the fall (March to May), when the weather is mild but sunny, with cooler evenings. The grape harvest continues, orchards yield an abundance of quinces, figs, apples, and pears, the sunsets are magnificent, and the leaves on the vines are a sight to behold.

Emilia-Romagna, Italy

The region of Emilia-Romagna is known for its elegant medieval cities, sun-soaked Adriatic beaches, and some of the best cuisine in Italy: Parma, its famed ham and Parmigiano cheese, Modena, the world's finest balsamic vinegar, and the region's capital Bologna for its pasta and meat sauces.

Belgium

Warming temperatures and blooming flowers make Belgium an inviting destination in the spring months. You may also find that crowds are thinner, except for weekends in Brussels and Ghent — the cities tend to attract locals taking a quick city break. Don’t overlook Bruges and Antwerp, true Belgian jewels gaining traction on the international travel scene.

SUMMER

Slovenia

We are obsessed with this little European gem in the eastern Alps! Known for its gorgeous mountains, hills, and woods, it is a perfect summer escape. Activities like climbing, hiking, cycling, and adventure sports are at all your fingertips. Whether kayaking in the Soča River, visiting a 1000-year-old castle perched on top of a hill overlooking Lake Bled, or a horseback trek at Triglav National Park, there is much to do in this verdant country nestled between Italy and Croatia.

Stockholm Archipelago, Sweden

Less than an hour from the cosmopolitan streets of Sweden's capital is the Stockholm archipelago, comprised of thousands of islands that stretch deep into the Baltic Sea. Visitors can explore uninhabited islands for the ultimate nature escape, or tour the 150 settled isles home to charming villages and small coastal towns. Experience the islands' attractions, from outdoor activities like kayaking and hiking to cultural highlights like the Vaxholm Fortress Museum, which provides insight into Sweden's fascinating military and maritime history.

Bodrum, Turkey

Stunning beaches and rich history surround the Bodrum peninsula: The most exclusive part of the Turkish Riviera. You'll find plenty of Turkey's traditional village life in Bodrum, too, together with a thriving wine industry and vibrant nightlife. Bodrum looks most impressive from the water, and we love itineraries by boat to swoon over Turkey’s surreal turquoise waters and to peer into the coves along the twisting coastline.

Nordland, Norway

With warmer temperatures and longer days, summer is the best time to visit Nordland and enjoy the fabled midnight sun – ideal for hiking, cycling, kayaking, and berry picking. Nordland is known for its stunning scenery of steep mountains and flat lowlands where they meet the Norwegian Sea; you may have mental pictures of The Lofoten Islands for instance, just off the mainland. Further south, Vega is equally as stunning and has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its fishing and eider duck down harvesting.

Wales, United Kingdom

With its rolling green hills, rugged coastline, towering mountains, quaint villages, and beautiful national parks, there is a plethora of reasons to visit Wales! Summer in Wales is perfect for outdoor activities like cycling, walking, hiking, surfing, and exploring the beautiful beaches. To round out a wonderful experience, the Welsh people are known as some of the friendliest in the world!

Corsica

Located in the warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea between France and Italy, Corsica is famous for its stunning scenery that allows you to enjoy both stunning white sand beaches and turquoise waters and the breathtaking mountains in just an hour's drive. We suggest visiting the towns and villages with the somewhat austere houses nestled against each other, representing the close-knit people of Corsica.

Zambia, Africa

June marks the start of peak safari season for game viewing. The weather tends to get very hot later in the dry season, but June is cooler, making it one of the best times to go. The skies are cobalt blue, the days are hot, and the nights are cool. Zambia is known for its national parks, being a pioneer in walking safaris, and being one of the most water-rich countries in Africa, with five vast lakes, three major rivers, at least 17 waterfalls, and various wetland areas!

Roatan, Honduras

A diver's paradise, the island warms up nicely in the summer, with low winds meaning ultra-calm waters and crystal clear conditions for diving. Roatan offers some of the most unique and diverse diving experiences and has become one of the leading Caribbean destinations for divers.

FALL

Sedona, Arizona

Sedona in the fall provides views of the vast desert landscapes, striking red rock cliffs, and vibrant fall foliage. The sights, sounds, and smell of fall surround you at every turn. It is the perfect destination for a magical fall getaway filled with hiking, off-roading, eating, shopping, soaring through the skies on a hot air balloon, breathing in the fresh mountain air, and simply relaxing.

Argentine Patagonia

Argentinian Patagonia spans over 1,000 miles and offers some incredibly diverse and unique regions. Enjoy the verdant shores of the lake district, the marine wildlife of the coastline of Valdes, and the fascinating history of Welsh Patagonia in the north. In the south, Los Glaciares National Park is home to the famous Fitz Roy Range and the enormous Perito Moreno Glacier, and further south, Tierra del Fuego is the last frontier, a remote wilderness full of history and adventure.

Ghana, Togo, and Benin, West Africa

This part of West Africa spotlights the traditional cultures, unique art forms, and incredible festivals. Experience tribal worlds guided by ancient spirits, including Tamberma's clay castles, voodoo practitioners, Egun's exuberant mask dances, the dance of fire in Sokode, and Kumasi's monthly Akwasidae festival.

Udaipur, India

Enclosed by the lush greenery of the Aravallis, Udaipur boasts magnificent forts, palaces, ancient temples, havelis (traditionally ornate decorated residences), and countless narrow, crooked, timeless streets. Enjoy the serenity of boat rides on the lakes, the bustle and color of bazaars, a lively arts scene, and some lovely countryside to explore on wheels, feet, or horseback.

Galloway and Southern Ayrshire, Scotland

Galloway and Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere are known for their spellbinding natural beauty. Covering over 2,000 miles of southwest Scotland, the area focuses on the hills and moors of the Merrick, which were initially formed by glaciers. Discover untouched coastlines, deep woodlands, and forests, all providing habitats for various plants and wildlife.

Barcelona, Spain

Surrounded by mountains, Barcelona sits on the Mediterranean coast, and plays home to a beautiful blend of Gothic and contemporary architecture and design. The historic district is a maze of monuments and winding narrow streets with tiled roofs. Apart from architecture, the city is renowned for being one of the most energetic and active cities globally and showcases excellent restaurants, bars, and beautiful beaches.

Montreal, Canada

Montreal is Quebec's cultural capital, where you can experience a sprinkle of Europe with a dash of New York City and its own quirky, unique vibe. Montreal is beautiful, filled with culinary adventures, world-class museums, strollable neighborhoods (like cobblestoned Old Montreal and ultra-hip Mile End), and forest paths on Mount Royal to explore. Packed with public art and a year-round festival schedule, the city is perfect for your next North-American getaway.
