Read on about Andrew and Samantha’s most memorable experiences and why they hold them close to their hearts.

ANDREW HERRIMAN

Cancun and Riviera Maya, Mexico

I just love this part of the world for the warm weather and tropical vibes at the beach. There’s a bit of culture and exploring to do everywhere you go here, and the people are so welcoming. A day trip to see one of the many ruins and swimming in a cenote are definitely in order.

Tanzania, Africa

If you’re up for an off-road adventure, pack your bags (lightly) for the game-viewing trip of a lifetime. Tanzania has so much to offer on its own but also pairs so perfectly with Kenya. I love the idea of taking on the wilderness first and ending at the beach in either Madagascar or Seychelles to really make it sweet.

Paris, Europe

In my opinion, you can never get enough of the city of lights. For fashion lovers and foodies combined, this city has something to offer everyone. The Parisians (now!) are extremely welcoming, blasting the typical stereotype. Paired with London in the spring, you won’t run out of things to do and sights to see.

SAMANTHA LANNA

Uruguay, South America

The energy in Uruguay is something that needs to be felt to be understood. I remember frequently thinking that time went by three times slower than usual, making both windy winter days longer and summertime everlasting. One summer, when my sister came to visit, we decided on a last-minute trip to Jose Ignacio. The scenic drive through the East Coast, the bitterness of the yerba mate whilst soaking up the blazing sun, walks along the shore in search of the perfect seashell, a delectable lunch at Bahia Vik’s La Susana, and mojitos at the beach as we watched the cotton candy skies turn into night, are just a few things that made those days feel like a fortnight.

New York City, United States

I’ve recently visited New York for the first time (yes!), and I’m still trying to find words to describe it. I was most impressed by the MET. The building itself is a piece of art, and the exhibitions are breathtaking. From ancient Egypt to the transformation of the kimono through the 20th century, I was lost there for hours. In my many ins and outs, I stumbled upon a beautifully lit room; it took me a good minute to process what I was looking at. The blue and warm yellow lights complimented the sculptures in a way that made them feel alive. I was so absorbed in it that I didn’t realize I was about to miss the show next door. The sounds of a classical guitar following the rhythmic drums ensured my visit ended on the right note.
