All About India’s Majestic Royal Bengal Tigers

Seeing the Royal Bengal Tigers is something of a quintessential experience for Micato India guests, who travel to Bandhavgarh, Kanha, and, of course, Ranthambore National Park to encounter the majestic felines.
Given how popular tiger experiences are, it felt right to share some selected tiger factoids, shared by our friend Puneet Dan, Micato India Travel Director extraordinaire.
Tigers have been around for over 2 million years. And about two hundred years ago, an estimated 58,000 tigers (Panthera Tigris) roamed India's lush jungles.
Tiger cubs are born blind and only start to see after two weeks. During this time, the cubs are carried by the mother in her mouth.
They constantly walk and mark their territory at night. A male tiger can walk as much as 25 miles in one night.
Among all the cats, tigers are the only ones that love swimming.
Believe it or not, they only eat one meal per week.
