Hotel de Russie Honors Fresh Contemporary Classic Style

This past May, Hotel de Russie completed a full refresh of 32 bedrooms, in addition to seven Suites. The renovation involved a mix of our favorite categories, ranging from Classic Room to Nijinsky Suite, all under the guidance of Olga Polizzi's Director of Design. The newly refurbished rooms and suites play off of the heritage and vibrancy of Rome, with classically-inspired artwork and wallpaper contrasted with contemporary furnishings, including distinctive Italian lamps and armchairs. Filled with a rich and serene color palette, each room and suite is an ode to the beauty surrounding it.
The Nijinsky Suite has been designed in the style of a grand Roman house and features original statues at the entrance, intense red colors on the walls typical of Roman homes, a collection of plates, and 19th-century art objects in the ornate Valadier style. The wallpaper features a classic Italian garden, and the marble and the cabochon terracotta flooring are all quintessentially Roman. The selected furnishings are an eclectic mix of vintage Italian design and custom pieces, all found in Italy and closely linked to Roman culture as well as the period of the building. Materials, textures, and shapes all strongly connect to Italian design and local craftsmanship.
In addition to the newly refurbished rooms, the Forte Family's signature flair can also be seen in the contemporary classic style of the updated one and only secret garden, le Jardin Restaurant, and the lobby.
The New Winter Punch Bar at Hotel de Russie
Hotel de Russie recently launched a new event dedicated to mixology – a Winter Punch Bar. In the splendid setting of the monumental Secret Garden designed by Giuseppe Valadier in the 19th century, the Bar Stravinskij's expert mixologists have taken inspiration from traditional punch recipes and added a personal, contemporary touch to create a special menu of hot and cold punch drinks. This menu will be available until the end of February
