Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, Monique has travel in her antipodean blood. After earning a Bachelor of Science and a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management—punctuated by a six-month backpacking adventure across Europe—she spent a decade working in Human Resources for a global public accounting firm. Her career brought her to the U.S., where she settled permanently in 2003.

In 2007, Monique traded the corporate world for the culinary arts, graduating with honors from Le Cordon Bleu. She has since blended her love of food and travel, believing that cuisine is one of the most immersive ways to experience a destination. Exploring local markets and Michelin-starred restaurants is always at the top of her itinerary—especially after spending the past five summers savoring life in the European countryside.

Monique, her husband Tony, and their three children live in Manhattan Beach, Los Angeles. As a mother of three, she has a particular passion and expertise in planning exceptional family vacations—as well as indulgent getaways for parents in need of a break.

Monique is a member of the Victoria Racing Club and the Melbourne Cricket Club and serves on the boards of the Getty Research Institute Collections Council and ESMoA.
